Using the Schedule Report option, you can create a job to run reports repeatedly and unattended at any time. You can schedule reports in any of the following ways:

  • Using predefined reports that are provided by CA Cloud Service Manager.
  • Using reports that are created from Ad Hoc views.

Note: You cannot schedule Ad Hoc Views to run. You must save the Ad Hoc view as a report to schedule it to run.

Prerequisites

  • You must have both Ad Hoc designer and Report designer permissions.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Cloud Service Management and navigate to REPORTS, SERVICE DESKAdvanced Reporting, Home.
Advanced Reporting page opens with the list of available Ad Hoc views, Reports, and Dashboards.
  2. Select the report for which you want to schedule a job. Click the  icon and click Schedule Report.
The report scheduler opens in a new tab with the list of available jobs for that report.
  3. Click Create Schedule.
  4. To set schedule start time, recurrence, and end time, click the Schedule tab.
  5. To predefine required parameters for the report, click the Parameters tab.
  6. To set information such as file name, format of the output file, and file destination, click Output Options tab.
Note: The Output Destination of the FTP/FTPS files transfers is not supported.
