Discover Assets

Asset discovery is a functionality that lets you discover hardware and software that is installed on a given subnet. CA Cloud Service Management uses real time, agent-less communication to discover the assets and software that reside in your organization. When the application discovers the assets, it provides information such as the IP Address, DNS Name, and Operating System. On this page, you can configure and automate the solution to import discovered assets with our agent-less discovery. These assets can be associated with tickets or used to create configuration items. You can also import assets from your other discovery sources. As a part of this step, the Sidekick takes you to the Asset Discovery Configurations page to help you: 

Native Discovery

1. Set the Asset Discovery Source as Native Discovery.
2. Download and install the on-premise components.
   1. Install the Asset Discovery Manager.
   2. Install the Asset Discovery Processor.
3. Configure Native Discovery.
   1. Configure the IP Range.
   2. Specify the Discovery Profiles.
   3. Configure the Credentials.
   4. Configure the Recurrence Schedule.
   5. Save the Asset Discovery configuration
4. Check the status of the discovery job
