Build Process Flows That Use Automation Connectors
Automation Center is only available in the ISM Service Management edition. This feature is not available in the ISM Service Desk edition.
Overview
Automation provides you with the ability to create and automate process workflows. The application provides connectors to perform various operations. Each connector is a component which connects to the external systems and performs automation tasks.
The Connector Library consists of:
- Predefined Connectors
- App connectors
The New App Connector allows you to create your own connectors for services which are not available as predefined connectors. This feature is available for services that expose their capabilities as HTTP ReST APIs. For example, you can build App 3rd party systems or applications like Dell, Salesforce, Box, and Workday either by raising a ticket or through Automation.
After you build an App connector, you can use the app connector and can create workflows. For more information, see Create a Workflow. The workflow that you have created using the app connector can now be linked to a process flow in the process designer, for more information see Use Automation Steps.
The Connector Library tab provides the following functionality:
- View a list of the predefined connectors.
- View the list of App connectors. The list displays the name, type, and status of each connector.
- View connectors that are Available and in Draft state.
- Create App connectors.
- View, add, edit, and delete credentials to connectors.
- Filter the App connectors list. You can filter based on the connector type, and status.
