Connector Credentials

Serviceaide Intelligent Service Management requires log in credentials to access the systems and networks where you are trying to perform tasks. The Credentials button provides a central repository that securely stores and manages all log in credentials. You can add, edit, and validate credentials.

Add Credential

You can add credentials for each connector.

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to WORKSPACES> AUTOMATION>  Automation Center> Connector Library.
  2. Click the expand icon next to the connector.
  3.  Click Add New Credentials.
  4. Select a Connector from the For Connector drop-down.
  5. Enter the Credential Name and Description.
  6. Enter the values for the credential parameters and click Add.

Note: The connector that you select defines the credential parameter that is populated. For example, the credential parameters to connect to an AMAZON EC2 connector are Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, Region Endpoint, and Security Group IDs. Sensitive credential parameters are displayed as masked once they are saved.

Edit Credentials

You can modify the base properties like ImageCredential NameDescription and can edit the credential parameter values.

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the desired connector and click the expand icon next to the connector.
The Credentials and Operation buttons appear.
  2. Click Edit on the desired credential.
The Edit Credential page opens in a new tab.
  3. Modify the parameters as required and click Save.
You have successfully edited a credential.

You can also delete a credential. Click Edit on the desired credential and click Delete.

Validate Credentials

The Validate option allows you to validate the credential record.

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the desired connector and click the expand icon next to the connector.
  2. Click Validate.
The Validate Credentials dialog opens. A tick mark appears next to each field, once a credential is validated.

Note: If you are saving credentials without validation, this could result in automation step execution failure.  The execution failure occurs when the values are incorrect.
