Manage Dashboards

Advanced Reports are only available in the ISM Service Management edition. This feature is not available in the ISM Service Desk edition.

You can combine different types of related content into a dashboard. Dashboards provide a single, integrated display for multiple reports. You can include other dashboards and input controls in a dashboard.

Serviceaide Intelligent Service Management also provides predefined dashboards. For more information, see Predefined Advanced Reports and Dashboards.

Prerequisite

  • Ensure that you have the dashboard designer permissions.

Create Dashboard

Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to REPORTS> SERVICE DESK> Advanced Reporting.
The Advanced Reporting page opens and displays the list of available Ad Hoc views, Reports, and Dashboards.
  2. Click Actions, Create Dashboard.
The dashboard designer opens. The left side pane displays the list of all available content that can be used in your dashboard. The right side pane includes a canvas where you can add and arrange the content.

  3. From the Available Content panel, drag the required reports and drop them on the canvas.

  4. (Optional) To apply the defined input controls of a report:
    1. From the Available Content panel, expand the Special Content node.
    2. Drag-and-drop the report controls to the Dashboard pane.
For example, Custom URL is used to enter the URL of a report that you want to add. Free Text is used to enter any textual information to the dashboard.
  5. Click Save, Save Dashboard. Enter the necessary information and save. You can save the dashboard only in the Shared and User folders. When the report is saved in the User folder, it is accessible to only that user who creates the report. If the report is saved in the Shared folder, the report is available to all roles. An administrator can restrict the content in the shared folder to specific roles by assigning the view to such roles.
