Luma seamlessly integrates with Generative AI, ensuring that the bot understands the nuances of user requests, leading to more accurate and context-aware responses. Leveraging the power of advanced language models, such as Open AI and Azure Open AI, Luma can generate accurate predictions based on the user request and the available Knowledge Base.

Automated Training for Skill Identification

Using Generative AI to generate user phrases for Luma Skills automatically. These phrases are crucial in training bots to recognize pre-defined services, leading to a more seamless interaction process. This not only enables users to access specific services effortlessly but also simplifies the task for skill developers by providing comprehensive training on all potential ways users may request a service.

Building Dynamic Conversations with AI Tasks

Luma extends the Generative AI capabilities to skill developers, empowering them to leverage these capabilities in crafting highly effective user conversations. By integrating AI Tasks such as Summarization, Content generation, and Sentiment Analysis into their skills, developers can enhance the intelligence and responsiveness of their bots, creating more engaging and intuitive user interactions. In addition to the variety of Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) AI Tasks, skill developers can utilize Luma's AI services to create custom tasks tailored to the organization's specific requirements.

Knowledge Curation with AI

Harnessing the capabilities of Generative AI, Luma Knowledge seamlessly automates the summarization of information, predicts queries based on artifact content, generates keywords, and delivers accurate answers. This integration not only streamlines knowledge-building but also promotes self-learning. Users can efficiently retrieve the required data, minimizing search time and ensuring the swift provision of accurate information.

Managing AI services in Luma

In Luma, the Generative AI Configurations are centralized, empowering an organization to manage its Generative AI capabilities across Luma products effectively. Superadmin can configure and oversee Generative AI functionalities and usage across all products. You can enable or disable Generative AI or any specific capabilities for a tenant. This granular control allows for fine-tuning Luma's behavior based on the unique requirements of each tenant.

As a Tenant administrator, you view the Generative AI capabilities available for your tenant and choose from the features to be enabled for your organization.

To do so, follow the below steps:

  1. On the Luma Bot builder portal, log in as a Tenant Administrator.

  2. Navigate to the 'Generative AI' screen.

  3. The screen provides the list of Generative AI features available for your tenant.

  4. Under ‘Features available in Virtual Agent,’ you can view the Generative Features used in your Virtual Agent. The skill developer uses these features to integrate Generative AI into skill building and execution seamlessly.

    1. Auto Phrase Generation for Skills enables the Skill developer to automatically generate user phrases that can be used bu the end-user to request the skill.

    2. AI Task in Skill Conversation Flow enables the skill developer to add an AI Task as a step in a skill. The conversation step, AI Task, can be added to the canvas or is executed only if the feature is available for your tenant.

  5. Under ‘Features available in Knowledge,’ you can view the functionalities available in Luma Knowledge. Using these capabilities, Luma can adeptly curate and oversee your Knowledge Articles. For more information, refer to Integrating Advanced Language Models.

    1. Keyword and Keypharses generation allows Luma to automatically extract relevant keywords from documents and data, making information retrieval faster and more effective.

    2. Automatic Summarization allows the automatic summary generation based on the artifact content.

    3. Question and Answer generation(FAQ) generates Questions and corresponding answers, which can be quickly presented to the user, reducing the time spent on answering customer inquiries.

    4. Suggest Content on Knowledge Gap Resolution enables the curator to use Generative AI to build Knowledge to resolve unanswered user queries.

    5. Precise Answering enables Luma Knowledge to interpret and understand the user’s request and generate answers specific to the question.

Generative AI and related capabilities for your tenent are managed by the Superadmin. Reach out to your Superadmin or support team for more details.
However, a tenant administrator can enable or disable the AI Task in Skill Conversation Flow. This enables them to temporarily control the AI tasks being executed as part of Skills by the End Users.

To update the configuration:

  1. Click on Edit,

  2. Enable or Disable the ‘AI Task in Skill Conversation Flow’ feature.

  3. Click on Save.
