Regular Template allows a Curator to use the organization-specific templates to create Artifact. Organization-specific custom templates enable the curator to create artifacts using documents that do not follow the Heading-Text format; such documents cannot be directly imported (Semantic Analysis process) . These documents can be used to create the artifacts manually or import documents using these templates,

On the Create Artifact window, navigate tothe Using Template tab.Select Regular Template as Template Type.
On the Template list, select the required Knowledge Template.
Add Artifact Name.
Add Summary. It
For Metadata Search enabled tenants, it is important that the Summary is well-formed and articulates the information in the document well. The NLP engine uses the text in this Summary fieldto generate Metadata. If the Language Model is enabled for the tenant, you may skip the Summary field.
For Semantic Search-enabled tenants, a Summary is not mandatory. This is because semantic search does not require metadata.
Select a Domain from the Domain list. This represents the area, department, region, or field the Artifact belongs to. The Domains available on the list are available out of the box. To update the list, refer to Adding a new domain on the Knowledge Graph.
Now based on the selected template, add information in the Content fields.
Once the content is ready, Click on Generate OntologyCreate.
The Artifact is now created in Luma Knowledge and is available in the Knowledge store.

If your tenant is enbaled to use Generative AI and tenant is Metadata-Search enabled, you can skip providing information in the summary field. The Summary is automatically generated based on the content. |
Processing the Artifact
...
For Metadata Search:
Once the Artifact is added, Luma generates ontology for an the artifact. The Metadata is added to the artifact, which is then used to identify Knowledge during the search. When Open AI features are enabled for your tenant, 'Generate Ontology'system performs the following:
Summarize Artifact- If Automatic Summarization is enabled for your tenant, the content in the artifact is used to generate a Summary. In case the curator adds the Summary during artifact creation, the step is skipped.
Generate Keywords and Key Phrases: Based on the Summary and Article Content, metadata attributes like Topic, Subject Action, Motivation, and Key Phrases are generated. If Automatic Keyword and Key Phrase generation is enabled for your tenant, the system automatically generates valid and meaningful full keywords and key phrases. On click of Generate Ontology, the NLP engine parses the information added to the Artifact and identifies the metadata, which is used to understand the user’s intent during the search.
Question and Answer: Luma Knowledge can predict the questions that can be answered based on the Artifact content. In case Question-Answer generation is enabled for your tenant, the system automatically generates Questions and corresponding responses from the content.

For Semantic Search:
Once the Artifact is added, No Curation of the artifact is required. Ontology, Summary, and FAQ generation are skipped for Semantic Search. The system automatically does the following to generate the searchable artifact content.
Data Extraction and Chunking: In this phase, text is collected or extracted from the source document. The extracted text is then divided into manageable chunks, typically at the semantic level (e.g., paragraphs).
Vectorization: The text chunks undergo embedding, where they are converted into vectors or numerical forms. This conversion is crucial for enabling efficient and accurate search capabilities.

The resulting embeddings are stored in a vector database, ready for search and retrieval operations.

Reviewing Artifact
As a Curator, you should verify and ensure that the metadata generated by the system is correct and Artifact is related to the correct Topic. If the automatically generated Topic is not available in the Knowledge Graph, then the artifact is assigned to the default Topic of the selected domain.

Click on Edit.
Add the required keyword to metadata fields and Save Changes.
Publishing Artifact
Based on the Artifact Publishing Mode configuration for your tenant and the identified metadata, the Artifact state is determined :
...
Click on View Artifact to view the Artifact in the Knowledge Store.
You can Publish the Artifact to make it available for end-users to search and consume. Refer to Knowledge Store for more information.
Click on Go To Dashboard, to navigate to the Luma Knowledge dashboard.
