This article describes how to install and configure the CMDB Gateway probe and and Intelligent Service Management Service Desk adapter. These components help synchronize data between Nimsoft Monitor data and CA Unified Infrastructure Management (UIM) and the CMDB data.
The Service Desk adapter (sdsync) helps you to synchronize the Nimsoft Monitor UIM data with the CMDB data.
Install Service Desk Adapter

- java_jre version 1.6.0 or above
- Nimsoft UIM CMDB Gateway Probe (cmdbgtw) version 1.03 or above
Follow these steps:
- Download the sdsync.zip package from the Nimsoft internet archive or Downloads section of the Nimsoft support site (http://support.nimsoft.com/Default.aspx?center=portal/downloads).
- Using the Infrastructure Manager, drag the package to the target robot, and drop it there.

- Launch the Infrastructure Manager and double-click the cmdbgtw probe. The configuration interface for the probe appears.
- Select the database NIS Database connection. Verify the connection parameters. If necessary, modify the parameters to connect to your specific NIS database instance.
- Select the export Service Desk Export.
- Add information about your web services user account. Ensure that you provide a username that has web services account in CA Cloud Serviceaide Intelligent Service Management.
