Affected Service as Mandatory field

Description:

This article provides the answer to the question for making affected service a mandatory field.

Question:

Is it possible to make Affected Service a mandatory field?

Answer:

If you are looking to make the Affected Service field as mandatory, then currently it is not possible. However, you can make the Affected Service field as mandatory after the ticket is created by using Workflow actions/Process workflows.
When an analyst is trying to take any of the action on ticket, we can make this field as mandatory via required fields/mandatory fields in the workflow action/process workflow.
When you configure the required fields for the SSU user, then you must follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to MANAGE> Tools> Configuration Parameters.
  2. Select the parameter name "SSU_MANDATORY_REQUEST_FIELDS_LIST" from the list.
  3. In the Parameter Value section, select the Configuration Item check box.
  4. Click Apply Changes.
