As a Tenant Administrator/Developer, you may often require to build new skills that might be created from the existing skills definition. This would help to eliminate the need to reenter the skill definition or helps to build skills quickly.
Using Copy Skill, you can replicate the existing skill. Below fields are copied from existing to the new skill and can be edited as required:
Description
Category
Conversation Flow
KPI Metrics
Skill Name, User Phrases, Permissions are not copied from the existing skill. The administrator must add the mandatory details to successfully create the new skill.
In case sub-skill is copied, the copy of the skill will be sub-skill by default
There are two ways to Copy a Skill,
Within a Skill
On Skill Builder, Select the Skill that you want to duplicate from the Skills list. You may also search for the required skill, by typing the Skill Name, Skill Identifier, or Category in the Search field.
On the details screen, click on Copy.
Create the Skill page that appears with copied details.
Add the required details like Skill Name, User Phrases, Permissions. You may edit other configurations on the Skill as required. Refer to Create Skills for more details.
Click Create to save the new skill.
A new skill will be created. The status of the new skill will be the same as the source skill. It can be changed as per the business needs.
On the Skill list:
On the Skill list, hover over the required Skill.
A Copy button appears on the record. Click the copy button.
Create Skill page appears with copied details.
Add the required details like Skill Name, User Phrases, Permissions. You may edit other configurations on the Skill as required. Refer to Create Skills for more details.
Click Create to save the new skill.
