Customize your Configurations
Before we start building Knowledge in the system, let us look at the basic tenant configuration that aligns Luma Knowledge to your organization’s culture. Using these configurations, you can customize the user experience. Here you can define how results should be presented, Feedback to be collected from users, Confidence score thresholds, allowed source file size, and other organization-specific configurations to determine the value Luma Knowledge brings in terms of cost and effort to your organization.
Though Tenant Configurations are set to ideal values by default, it is advisable to review the configurations so that Knowledge Building and Search are seamless.
Following are the Configurations that you must review:
Set your Time zone.
Default artifact state on curation: Set the approval process for your artifacts. When set to Publish if basic metadata available, the Artifact is automatically Published; if Luma Knowledge identifies the mandatory metadata, i.e., Topic, Subjects, and Actions, refer to Create Artifact using a Document or Web URL for more information.
Multimedia Size Max Limit and Attachment Size Max Limits to set the allowed source file size, which can be used to create artifacts.
Average Cost per Ticket (in USD) that your organization can save using Knowledge to resolve user issues.
Set Create artifact minor version to Yes to create minor versions for artifacts whenever it is edited, e.g., 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. When the artifact is Published, a major version is created, such as 1.0, 2.0, 3.0.
Artifact Feedback Question sent to Users. Response to this question is used to determine the quality and usefulness of the Artifact content.
Artifact feedback first follow-up question and Artifact feedback second follow-up question: These questions are prompted based on Artifact Feedback Question's response. The curator uses the response to the follow-up questions to determine the further course of action. The curator may update the content to improve Knowledge or Retire the Artifact to remove obsolete content.
Set ‘Enable curators to search in latest artifacts’ to Yes so that the curator can test search an unpublished artifact before making it available to the end-users. This helps the curator determine if the artifact will appear in all viable search queries.
Various other configurations can be customized to enhance user experience or change system behavior, such as Score Range Percentage, Confidence Score Thresholds, Artifact count per query, Time intervals to check feedback, etc. These are set to ideal values by default; however, you can update these later, as needed.
