Organizations with employees working in the field often have challenges providing quick and easy support without access to services and information. The Luma Mobile App puts the virtual agent in your pocket. Now, users are supported around the clock, even while away from the office. End-Users can use Luma Mobile to converse with their virtual agent, search for Knowledge, submit requests, and initiate requests or workflows.

In addition to a standard text-based channel, Luma Mobile App is enhanced with the following advanced features:

  • Easy Voice Interaction:
Luma Mobile App is voice-enabled. Users have the option of typing messages or speaking with the virtual agent. Users can now avoid typing long responses; instead, they talk to the virtual agent. It leads to a simple, natural conversation like they would with a human.

  • High-Resolution Camera Access:
Luma Mobile App can harness the power of your device camera. Users can gather high-resolution photos using the mobile camera and submit them as attachments when interacting with the virtual agent. The camera can also scan barcodes or QR codes and identify IT assets, products, or other items identified by a barcode or QR code.

  • Location Services
Luma Mobile App also supports location-based services. You can now configure services in your virtual agent that may need the user’s location to provide accurate information or support. While executing such services, the virtual agent asks the end-user to share their location. This is a powerful way to provide support in the field in various situations.

  • Attachments:
Luma Mobile App can also access photos and documents available on your phone. When interacting with the virtual agent, users can attach and upload images from the photo library or any other document on their phone, such as a PDF file.

These features make Luma Mobile App a power tool that makes interacting with your virtual agent simple and effective. Ask the Luma Virtual Agent for information or service and see how easy it is to get assistance.

Getting started with Mobile App

Like the other Luma chat channels, the Mobile app can also converse with your Virtual Agent. It can look for information, execute pre-defined services, or trigger process workflows. The Mobile App is available for all types of users in your organization.

One of the major benefit with the Mobile app is the No channel configuration. Luma Mobile App does not require administrator to configure the channel. Once the channel is enabled, End-users can just download the Luma Mobile app from the App store or Google play store and use the QR code or environment details to login.

End-Users can use the mobile app to:

  • Search for information and view Knowledge Articles

  • Leverage existing skills in your virtual agent and execute services such as resetting your password, creating a ticket, updating a ticket, etc.

  • Attach a picture to a ticket – Instead of typing or tapping notes, take a picture of the issue, and attach it to the ticket.

  • Dictate instead of type - Avoid typing long messages. Speak with the virtual agent like you would speak to a support agent.

  • Share your current location with the services that require location information.

  • Scan Bar Codes and QR codes

Download and Install Mobile App

The mobile app is available for Android and ISO devices (…coming soon). End-users can download the app ‘Luma’ from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Download the app and install it on your device. The Luma Mobile App is now available on your device.

Logging into the Mobile App

Luma Mobile App provides two ways of logging into the system:

Authentication using tenant details allows the end user to authenticate themselves login as registered users. Users already available in the tenant and have tenant details can log in to the application using a Magic link. The Magic Link provides a more effortless authentication experience for users. Magic link associated with the end-users Luma account. It contains the secret key used to authenticate the user.

Once the Mobile App is installed on the user’s device, end-users can use it to request a Magic link. Luma sends the Magic Link to the user’s registered email address. On clicking the link, the device recognizes this link and opens up the Mobile app. The user’s authentication information is stored in secure storage in the device until the user logs out of the mobile app. Each time the user opens the app, it automatically logs them in.

When the user logs out, the authentication information associated with the app is removed. The user can again generate a new Magic Link.

Guest login is available for anonymous users in Luma. These are the users that are not registered as users in your tenant. These users may not have the details required to connect to your tenant. Luma Mobile App facilitates such logins via QR code. These QR codes are tenant-specific and encapsulate the environment and tenant details. Users can scan the QR code and log in as ‘Guest'. The user can now access the skills and Knowledge available for Guest users. For more information on Guest or Anonymous users, refer to Define Roles, Permissions, and Groups.
