Review, Test, and Publish Artifact

Once the Artifact is added to Luma Knowledge, it follows the Artifact Approval flow. The Knowledge reviewer (who could be an administrator or a fellow curator) should review and approve the Artifact content. This step is important to ensure that the Knowledge is correct and useful. In addition to the content, the Artifact metadata identified by the Luma Knowledge should also be reviewed and tested to make sure the artifact appears in all viable searches. Once approved, Artifact can be Published and made available to the end-user.

To review and publish the Artifact, follow the below steps:

  1. On the Semantic Analysis page, click on the Artifact to view details. Alternatively, navigate the Knowledge store and locate the artifact.

  2. Verify the Artifact details. In case any corrections are required, Edit Artifact:

    1. If the artifact is already Published, Checkout the Artifact. This is not required if the artifact is already in the Draft state.

    2. Click on Edit.

    3. Update Name and Summary as required and click on Save changes.

  3. The next step is to review Artifact Metadata. A warning sign appears next to the Artifact name if mandatory metadata is missing.

    1. Scroll down to the metadata section.

    2. Verify the metadata. In case any updates are required:

      1. If the artifact is already Published, Checkout the Artifact. This is not required if the artifact is already in the Draft state.

      2. In the metadata section, click on Edit.

      3. Verify and update the Topic as required. This also updates the Topic hierarchy for Artifact in Knowledge Graph.

      4. Add the required phrases in Actions, Subjects, Motivations, and Key Values.

      5. Once changes are done, click on Save Changes.

  4. Open the Search Widget and simulate an end-user search.

    1. Set ‘Search in’ to Latest. This includes the unpublished artifact in the search results.

    2. Search for the artifact using various questions that an end-user might ask when looking for the information in the artifact.

    3. Based on the search results, update the metadata in the artifact to ensure the correct information appears for the requested questions.

  5. Once the artifact is ready, Publish the artifact.

The Artifact is now available for the end-users.
