How to Create Artifact using Knowledge Templates

Knowledge Templates are the organization-specific templates that are used to hold information. Documents created using the templates may not follow the generic Question-Answer format required by Luma Knowledge to generate QnA pairs and have pre-defined structure used to create documents such as System guides, instruction manuals, ‘How to’ documents, RCA documents, etc. The Curator can upload such documents in Luma Knowledge to create Artifacts without creating QnA pairs.

Follow the below steps to create an Artifact using a Knowledge Template as a source:

Upload documents

1. Click on Create artifact in the left navigation.

2. Navigate to the Import Document tab and select Documents With Template.

3. Click on Choose File and browse to the required file. You may add multiple files or upload a zip file to import multiple files. You may also drag and drop the required files.

4. Select a domain from the Domain list. This represents the area, department, region, or field the Artifact belongs to.

5. Select the Template to Map. The template is used to validate and map the information to the template fields for Artifact and Ontology generation

6. Click on Import Documents.

The selected documents are imported into Luma Knowledge and queued for Artifact creation. You can view the status on artifact creation on Import status.
