How to Test and Publish Artifacts
When an Artifact is created or edited in Luma Knowledge, the Curator must review and test the artifact to ensure that it appears in all relevant user searches. Search Widget is used to simulate the end-user searches with various questions that end-user might ask when looking for the information in the artifact. Based on the search results, Artifact content, Metadata, and QnA pairs can be updated, so that appropriate information appears for the requested questions. For more information refer to How to Edit an Artifact.
Once reviewed, Artifact can be Published and made available to the end-user.
It is important to use well-structured questions when searching for artifacts. Luma Knowledge generates metadata from the query and uses it to identify matching Artifacts from the Knowledge Base.
Test Artifact
To Test the Artifact, follow the below steps:
On Luma Knowledge, open the Search Widget to perform a search.
Set ‘Search in’ to Latest. This ensures that the unpublished artifacts also appear in the search results.
Search for the artifact using several queries. Use well-structured questions to search the artifact.
Based on the search results, you can update the content and metadata in the artifact.
Once the artifact is ready, Publish the artifact.
Publish Artifact
Once the contents of the Artifact are reviewed, it is ready to Publish. Follow the below steps to Publish:
In the Knowledge store, select the required Artifact.
On the Artifact details screen, click on Publish.
On the confirmation message,
Click Yes if the Artifact has been updated as per the recommendations received for the artifact. This resets the recommendation count for the artifact.
Click No, if the artifact is new or all the recommendations have not been addressed.
A Major version of Artifact is created and it is available for End Users.
An Artifact cannot be Published if mandatory metadata (Topic, Subject, and Actions) is missing. In such a case, an error symbol appears next to the Artifact name. You may add the required metadata and retry Publishing.
