Configure Service Configuration
This article describes how you can update Service Configurations for your organization.
The out-of-the-box services available in ISM require Service Configurations. Service Configurations are the organization-specific inputs that are required repeatedly to perform and complete a task. For example, AD Server connection details, username, and password to connect to AD Server in the Enable AD user workflow. These inputs do not come from the user who is executing the service and is set by the Administrator.
Follow the below steps to update a Service Configuration:
Navigate to Manage → Tools → Automation Workspace.
The out-of-the-box Services are listed on the screen. Select the required Service to update the configurations.
On the Edit screen, add the input parameters required for the Service in the JSON file. Add the keys and values.
You can use Encrypt Utility to encrypt information such as account passwords, security tokens.
Add the text to encrypt in the Text to Encrypt field and click on Encrypt.
Click Copy on the Encrypted Text field to copy the encrypted text.
Add the Key and encrypted text to the Value field. This ensures the sensitive information such as account passwords, authentication tokens are encrypted before sending to the APIs.
Once the changes are done, click Update to save the configurations.
The Service configuration is now ready. You can now use the related out-of-the-box Workflow Services in your Skills to execute Automated tasks. For information on the Out-of-the-box service available in Luma VA, refer to Out-of-the-box Automation Service Configurations and Workflows.
